It is full of typos and other errors that indicate a "low budget production". However, I loved it. It is blunt and in your face and I can see why perhaps some people may not like the honesty they are confronted with. The book certainly made me think. I agreed with a lot of the theories as I could relate to some of the scenarios they presented. I didn't agree with some of the theories about parenting. I found the advertising and sales pitches funny at first, yet after a while somewhat annoying. All in all this book is full of great ideas and really good comedy. I have given four
stars as I find the content and ideas more important than the form. 5 Stars Combines wit and insight in perfect balance. Laugh your butt off!, February 18, 2006 I just finished reading Seed's Sketchy Relationship Theories - A Guide to the Perils of Dating (How not to become a bar regular) and must say I was thoroughly entertained. The two authors somehow managed to combine wit, personal insight, somewhat offensive language and controversial subject matter in perfect balance. They take shots at virtually every aspect of dating and the world and nobody is spared from their opinions. However, what made it really work for me is the simple fact they started right from the get go taking shots at themselves: "Sketchy". Sketchy (adjective) - roughly or hastily laid out; intended for later refinement. The authors want the readers to do the refining. This book will offend some. This book will send the grammar police into convulsions. Far more importantly: this book will make the reader think and laugh their butts off. I know I did. I guarantee that if you read it - you may be offended - you may not love it - but, you will definitely be entertained. There is definitely no other book like it!
